【総距離32,000km】なんとロンドン→インド行きのバスが1976年まで運行していた😱

今じゃ絶ッッッ対に無理なルートですね・・・。

1957年から1976年にかけて、ロンドンとインドのカルカッタ間に定期バスサービスが存在していたことをご存知でしたか。32,000km、50日間の往復バスルートは世界最長です。

そのバスには寝台があり、キッチンまで備わっていました！わずか145ポンドで、食事と宿泊付きの旅行が楽しめました。バスはウィーン、イスタンブール、イランでの観光やショッピングのために停車しました。

70年代 – Time Outには、バス広告が4ページあり、Magic Busなどが載っていました。
でも、1930年代にはチューリング・クロス・ピアからアントワープ行きのフェリーに乗ることができました。おそらく指紋の必要もなかったでしょう。

@alvinfoo 70s – Time Out used to have 4 pages of bus adverts, Magic Bus etc.But you could catch a ferry from Charing Cross pier to Antwerp in the 1930s. Probably no fingerprints required either.
